Gocator 2512 is a 3D line laser profile sensor from LMI. It is mainly used for high-precision 3D scanning of glass and scanning of other highly reflective materials, including polished metal and plastic. In consumer electronics (CE) applications, where these materials are often assembled side by side in the same enclosure, the Gocator 2512 has the unique scanning capability of scanning both specular and diffuse surfaces simultaneously. For example, the sensor can capture data from a phone's glass cover and its frame simultaneously in a single scan. In addition, Gocator 2512 can provide excellent performance in GD&T measurements of components with challenging surface treatments (e.g., transparent, glossy).
